Thank you for everything Mamma!!!

Caring. Selfless. Optimistic. Best adviser. The gorgeous fashionista.  Magical cook. Multi tasker. Trusty. Brave. The 2AM friend. Compassionate. Charming. Superwoman.  Humble. The  Guiding Angel. Loyal. Calm. Loving. Strong. Biggest inspiration. Everything!!!!

That’s what comes to my mind when pondering about a Mother. She wakes up at quarter to six every morning before anyone else in the family and starts right away to do all the household chores. She showers unconditional love on her children. She is ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of her family’s happiness. She cooks mouth watering dishes in the kitchen with love even if she is draining with swelter. She is the tincture of every illness. The mother who tells you what are you looking for and where it is even before you go and ask her. She gives you steaming rotis while she has to make do with some cold and saggy ones. She was your first teacher who helped you take your first steps when you used to crawl on the floor as a baby and made you learn your first ABCDs. She scolds you, slaps you but for your own good…..words are short but the list never ends and never will.

It was not possible for God to be present everywhere and with everyone at all times so that they feel safe and secure in His arms and share their problems with Him. As a solution, God created Mothers. And therefore it is not surprising that Mothers are endowed with Godly characteristics. Her soul is the same as God’s. She is herself a kind of Goddess who has come in the world as His representative.

Let’s make this Mother’s Day a red-letter day for her!  Let’s make her work easy by helping her in the household chores and other things. Let’s give her some time so that she can care about herself a bit. Or let’s just give her a nice hot oil hair massage…shouldn’t we? After all we owe so much to her for the things she does for us.
