Exams… are they really the end of the world?
Exams create a tremble, right? Just one word sends a chill down the spine. One starts imagining eight or nine hours of intensive study every day, a huge number of chapters to prepare, parents’ most famous dialogue, “jao ja ke padho” when we take a break and of course, no games, no social media, no TV, no outings, etc..
But, on a more serious note, are exams really the end of the
world? See, we should take seriously these examinations but we must also learn
to understand that it is a formal test of knowledge or ability in a subject or
a skill (I have copied this meaning from a dictionary!). What I mean is that
you should take exams seriously, but if you get bad results, is everything finished?
No, it is NOT!
Be confident and optimistic. Failures are a must in a successful
person’s life. Being a good person is much more important than being a topper
and that is what counts in the long run. There is a lot of pressure from society,
peers and parents, and you can’t get rid of those nosy relatives and neighbors,
who can’t help but keep asking about your results.
Its not always that you have to be good in studies to be worthwhile
for yourself or for the society. I personally believe that everyone has his or
her own talent. So, rather than regretting about your results, try to explore
yourself and your abilities, climb the ladder of self improvement in the field
you think you are the best. May be you are a good dancer or an excellent artist.
